coffee4SOMEHOW you have to put aside living in an apocalyptic world and dwell on the sunshine and the coffee – it’s cold, bright and the two pet rabbits are basking in the garden.

So this morning I started with a cafetiere full of Brazilian Fazenda Terra Preta (I like to learn the names and try and remember the flavour) made from coffee beans provided by Coffee Exchange ground in my new grinder acquired from Sainsbury’s Argos Bamber Bridge – an essential purchase.

Once I’d eaten breakfast, I caught up with the band members of Sweeney Astray, Katie and Anna, singer and drummer, on Zoom. It’s been months since we saw each other as I’ve been working on a cruise since December.

We talked about techie stuff and music before moving on to lockdown food snacks, exercise and a couple of goes at Butch the Alsation fetches the ball and watching a video of a newly arrived niece exploring  the world with excess cuteness and awe.

The payrolls department of Princess Cruises in LA, my last employer,  apparently has my pay claim for May. I hope that goes well and reasonably.

I managed to sort out my first use of a 4K film camera last night – all I need now is a swift reintroduction of having an imagination and some kind of desire to create art.

Next up is keep on with those weights and prepare an online guitar lesson for 4pm while practising and learning. All without snacks.

Yup. It’s sunshine and I’m having to learn to embrace the neverending cycle of food, washing up, wearing clothes and washing them again and drying them again and writing another daily blog. It’s lockdown.

Playing a set on Facebook Live this Friday at 8.15pm pm thereabouts on the Mike Kneafsey Guitar Page. Might see you then.
